About Tinci Materials
Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (Tinci Materials), founded in June 2000, operates in two key business sectors: lithium-ion battery materials and personal care & specialty chemicals. In 2014, Tinci was listed on the Shenzhen SME board (stock code: 002709), and after a merger in February 2021, it was listed on the main board. In 2021, the company’s market value exceeded 100 billion yuan, driven by its strategic integration and expanding market share.
Tinci has been deeply involved in the lithium battery electrolyte business for over a decade. Leveraging its strong foundational chemical capabilities and process expertise, the company has seized opportunities in the lithium battery industry. Since 2015, Tinci’s lithium-ion battery electrolyte has been the world’s top seller, and in 2021, the company was recognized as the national champion in Chinese manufacturing for single-product lithium-ion battery electrolytes.
Challenges of Traditional R&D Management
As Tinci’s business expanded and industry technologies rapidly evolved, the limitations of paper-based R&D records became increasingly evident. The traditional method of managing experimental data presented several challenges:
- Inconsistent Records: Original experimental records varied between individuals, often resulting in unclear or incomplete documentation, lacking standardization.
- Loss of Data: Paper records were easily lost during handovers or sharing between team members.
- Storage Issues: Physical storage of paper records took up significant space and was vulnerable to damage from moisture, mold, fire, and other factors.
- Time-Consuming Retrieval: Locating historical experimental data from paper records was slow and inefficient.
- Limited Knowledge Base: Paper-based records couldn’t be easily structured into a comprehensive internal knowledge base.
Recognizing these issues, Tinci sought a solution that met the strict quality standards of international software while offering a user-friendly interface, rapid after-sales support, and high service quality.
Our Solution
After careful evaluation, Tinci Materials selected iLabPower ELN (Electronic Lab Notebooks), developed by Neotrident. As a leading provider of R&D information and intelligent solutions, Neotrident’s iLabPower ELN offered a perfect match for Tinci’s needs.
Key Features and Benefits of iLabPower ELN
- Standardized Experimental Records: iLabPower ELN allows for the creation of pre-built experimental templates, enabling scientists to quickly generate standardized experimental records. This has greatly improved R&D efficiency at Tinci.
- Enhanced Lab Efficiency: The platform’s online approval flow, full-text search functionality, and real-time progress tracking enable team leaders and department managers to monitor experiments more efficiently, further boosting laboratory productivity.
- Cost Savings & Archiving: By transitioning to electronic records, Tinci has significantly reduced the costs associated with archiving paper documents. All experimental data is now stored in a structured format in a digital database, allowing for quick retrieval, search, and analysis, which enhances the future value of historical data.
Through the adoption of iLabPower ELN, Tinci has not only streamlined its R&D processes but also laid the foundation for greater innovation and data-driven decision-making in the future.
