Background
Shandong Chambroad Holding Group Co., Ltd. (Chambroad Holding Group) is one of China’s top 500 enterprises. Committed to “building a chemical enterprise group with international competitiveness and influence,” Chambroad aims to lead the industry by accelerating its digital, networked, and intelligent transformation. The company focuses on creating an advanced knowledge-sharing platform to enhance its chemical R&D capabilities through digitalization and intelligent development.
Challenges Faced by Chambroad Holding
- Reliance on experience-based experiment designs, resulting in extensive trial and error.
- Paper-based experimental records that lack standardization, making historical data retrieval difficult and inefficient.
- Delayed experimental execution due to real-time resource status (instruments, equipment, materials) being unavailable during project planning.
- Inability to track the status of instruments in real time, leading to delays in research work.
- High error rates in sample analysis due to non-standardized workflows and quality standards.
- Poor management of chemical reagents and consumables, leading to wastage, duplicate procurement, and safety risks.
- Lack of a unified system for controlling, monitoring, and analyzing critical R&D resources, resulting in inefficiencies and higher costs.
Our Solution
Since 2019, Chambroad’s Chemical Research Institute has partnered with Neotrident to implement a comprehensive digital R&D solution. This initial collaboration, which introduced iLabPower’s Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and Project Management (PM) systems, laid the foundation for the company-wide digital transformation project.
In March 2023, Chambroad launched the iLabPower R&D Digital Platform across its innovation laboratories. This system integrates various functions, including ELN, Chemical Inventory Management System (CIMS), Instrument Management(IM), and Scientific Data Hierarchy (SDH). The digital platform connects R&D projects with experimental records, reagent management, and sample analysis, enabling a complete end-to-end workflow for R&D projects.
